Icon4 Which Career would withstand global recession ??

A full fledged US recession is just around the corner and Inflation in India has already crossed 8.0% . Oil has reached 135 $ per barrel. Unemployment would be rising. Amongst all this, which career is the best option for long run. Say after 4 or 5 years. And even 1 or 2 years

Oil and gas, petrochemical, refinery careers and related consultancy jobs will rule.
At least for the next few years.

As oil becomes a dear commodity, related careers will get a boost.

Energy and medical...also, depending on the country, infrastructure. I think technology will also play a role, but centered most solidly around these key areas.

It did'nt.
Albeit temporarily.

Hundreds of Oil and gas professionals are losing jobs. Both in India and those posted abroad. New projects are stalled. Will take at least a year to recover.

However, competency will evade any recession.
